CLEMENT MANYATHELA FOUNDATION

The Clement Manyathela Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of children in rural areas, one school at a time. Born and raised in the village of Vaalbank in Mpumalanga, Clement Manyathela personally witnessed the devastating effects of poverty, lack of resources, and limited access to information about career and tuition funding opportunities. These barriers often prevented his peers from pursuing higher education or led them to careers they had little interest in. Through the foundation, Clement aims to become a change agent, ensuring that children in similar circumstances are not left behind.

To achieve this mission, the foundation will partner with credible stakeholders who share its commitment to providing career guidance and mentorship to learners in rural areas. This support will be delivered through various programs, including school-based career guidance events and psychological assistance for students facing personal and familial challenges. Recognizing that many young people in these communities have dreams but lack the knowledge or resources to pursue them, the foundation will leverage its network to connect students with mentors who can help them start their journey towards realizing their ambitions. Additionally, the foundation seeks to address the psychological trauma that some students face by creating safe spaces for courageous conversations and offering much-needed psychosocial support. Ultimately, the foundation’s goal is to equip disadvantaged children with the tools, guidance, and support they need to navigate high school successfully and prepare for the next stage of their lives.
